This policy explains what data ZenUp (“ZenUp”, “we”, “us”) collects when you use our mobile app and this website, why, and what choices you have. You can reach us at support@zen-up.app.

The short version: your gratitude entries and photos are stored on your phone. You don’t need an account. The texts of your entries are never sent to AI. We do not sell your personal data.

1. Information we collect

Content you create. Gratitude entries, photos you attach, emotions, trees, your own questions and settings. They are stored locally on your device.

Meditations. When you create a meditation, we send only your choices — how you feel, the topic, length, voice, background and app language — to our server, which uses AI providers to write and voice it. The texts of your entries are never sent. The finished meditation is saved on your device.

Purchase data. Subscription status, trial eligibility and renewal state, received from Apple, Google and our subscription provider. We never receive your card details.

Diagnostics and usage. Crash reports and aggregate events about which parts of the app are used, with device model, OS version, language, region and app version. These never include the texts of your entries.

Advertising. The free version may show ads. Ad networks may use device identifiers to select and measure them. On iOS this depends on the App Tracking Transparency permission you grant. A subscription removes ads.

Earlier versions. If you used an earlier version of ZenUp, your old entries are moved into the new app on your device; photos of old entries may be downloaded from our previous storage during that move.

Website. This website does not require an account and does not use advertising cookies.

2. How we use your information

to provide the app: your forest, entries, reminders and meditations;
to process subscriptions and unlock paid features;
to send the reminders you have set (they are scheduled on your device);
to fix crashes and improve the app;
to show ads in the free version;
to comply with legal obligations.

3. How we share information

Service providers. We share limited data with providers that help us run ZenUp: hosting, AI providers for generating meditations, Apple and Google for payments, our subscription provider, analytics and crash reporting, and ad networks in the free version. They may use it only to provide their service to us.

Legal. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

4. Security and retention

We use encryption in transit and reasonable safeguards. Content on your device stays there until you delete it or remove the app. You can export your entries to PDF or text at any time, and the app has a lock with a PIN or Face ID. Settings → Delete all data removes everything ZenUp stores on your device.

5. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data and to withdraw consent. Write to support@zen-up.app and we will respond within the period required by law. You can also turn off notifications or tracking in your system settings.

6. Children

ZenUp is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country). We do not knowingly collect their personal data.

7. International transfers

Our providers may process data in other countries. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
